Chronic Back Pain

When you are someone who has dealt with chronic back pain before, the thought of lifting weights can be scary. There are many different reasons why an individual may have back pain.

Here are some areas we like to work on with our clients in order to help them move pain free and gain strength in these areas.

  • We work on the mobility of the hips and upper back
  • Train the core to stabilize in all planes of motion
  • Build up the big supporting groups like the hamstrings and glutes
  • Train the erectors to support the spine in extension (deadlift, RDL, GHR)

Every single person has a different anatomy and different pain points, but by tying all of these areas together you can create strength throughout the whole chain from top to bottom. Many  times the scariest lifts can be the ones you need to work towards.
