Driven Coaches: 🏑✨ Congratulations Coach Val! 🏑✨
We’re proud to celebrate Coach Val Van Hellemont, who was named to the NFHCA First Team All-Region, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
This honor marks another major postseason achievement for the Drexel Dragons, following their 2025 CAA Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
Coach Val earned her third NFHCA All-Region selection and second consecutive First Team honor after a standout junior season. She was also named CAA Player of the Year and CAA Tournament MVP, becoming the first Drexel field hockey player to earn three major CAA awards — Rookie of the Year (2023) and back-to-back Player of the Year honors (2024, 2025).
She finished the season tied for the team lead with 28 points (8 goals, 12 assists), ranking among the conference’s top offensive performers.
We’re incredibly proud of Coach Val and her continued excellence on and off the field! 💪🐉
